US Appliance - Damaged Good and No Refund or Replacement

In November 2023, I purchased a Kitchen Appliance package from US-Appliance.com for a complete renovation project. The appliances were stored in my garage for three months during the renovation.

Upon installation, several issues were discovered: the microwave did not fit the designated space, the dishwasher was damaged internally, and the stove's bottom drawer consistently falls off upon opening. The overall quality of these appliances is disappointing and subpar.

Despite repeated attempts to resolve these issues with US-Appliance.com, both my general contractor and I were informed that no refund or replacement would be provided since it had been over 30 days since delivery and we no longer had the original packaging.

This response is unacceptable given the significant investment I made in these appliances.

I was advised to contact the manufacturer for possible repairs, and I am currently awaiting an email from US-Appliance.com to facilitate this. However, I am prepared to escalate the matter by filing complaints with the Federal Trade Commission, the Attorney General of Michigan, and pursuing a small claims lawsuit in Tennessee.

I expect quality products and fair treatment as a consumer, and I refuse to accept being provided with damaged and substandard goods without recourse.

I purchased 4 appliances from them. Three of them arrived severely damaged although it wasn't obvious at delivery.

The refrigerator had a bashed in back panel, the stove door was buckled and the dishwasher was so badly crushed that it spewed water out the top. The damage on the dishwasher was completely covered by insulation. US Appliance wanted to send me to the manufacturer for warranty work because we had installed it before we realized how badly it was damaged. I told them it was a delivery problem and not a warranty issue.

They keep citing their "policy" of complete inspection within 24 hours. No inspection would have seen the damage unless you removed the insulation.

Do they expect you to disassemble the appliances and check everything before installing? Why not employ a better shipping partner and avoid the damage in the first place?

They don’t even deserve one star

They are service providers for Lowes. They have already changed 1 appointment and havent shown up for the next one. I have tried all day to call them direct and got transferred 6 times with LOWES. I will never buy from Lowes again because they outsource to lousy companies like this. They wont answer their phone or text message. US APPLIANCES with o01 area code are the worst!

Product never received

In August 2021 I bought and paid for a built-in oven/microwave from US-Appliance. As there was not one available locally, I ordered on the internet.

US-Appliance promised delivery next month, then next month every month for 13 months. My last call to them was to ask for my money back. They said "No" but they would deliver an upgraded model at the end of September 2022. That didn't happen.

Then, with the help of a letter from my attorney, in October 2022 they issued a credit to my credit card and sent me a check for interest. After the cancellation of the order, I purchased a unit locally, and it was installed within four days.

When I ordered this KitchenAid Downdraft Range online it indicated it was in-stock. After I placed an order, I only received one confirmation email for the purchase. In the email, it said to allow 1-4 weeks for delivery. After 4 weeks with no more notifications, I called their customer service, then I was told it was in back-order. I waited for 3 months for my purchase. No one provided me any updates during the waiting. When I talked to their customer service to tell them that if the item was shown in back-order at the first place, I won't have ordered it. They lied that it was shown on the web for back-order and blamed it as my fault. I am 100% certain the item was not listed back-order the time when I purchased it. Will anyone charges over $3000+ for an item that is not available. Because of that delay, I missed the KitchenAid rebate also. Beware of this type of vendor. During the whole purchasing process, I only received one confirmation email for the purchase and one delivery notice. I had to call them numerous times for a status update during the 3 months of waiting. Also very bad customer service.

Ripped off and bad customer service

just now READ OTHERS REVIEWS before you consider!! Apparently Im not the only person they have ripped off. If I could rate them no stars I would. I purchased a hood range extension from us appliance online and received it long after. I didnt open the package within 24 hours. When I opened it the hood extension was extremely damaged with a dent that is not fixable. When I called customer service the agent was extremely rude with me and first argued with me and told me that the carrier that delivered the item was not FEDEX when I clearly read the email I received from fedex regarding the item I purchased. I did not have to sign for anything which she lightly argued as well. Then told me that after 24 hours its not their problem and laughed when I asked to speak to the manager. I dont know if she was laughing because I was so upset with her attitude with my 1 year old screaming in the background or what but when I asked for the manager she said that the manager was listening to the conversation the whole time then told me she wasnt available to talk to me and sent me to her voicemail. At this point my baby is screaming and Im in tears leaving a voicemail and Im so upset I dont even know what I said. The manager called me back later in the week and left me a voicemail telling me they do not replace damages after its been 24 hours. So I have a approximately $200 damaged range hood extension sitting in my trash. Us appliance does not deliver and read the fine print before you consider them. We have purchased appliances that were terrible as their customer service in the past, I didn't know their bad service was consistent until now.

Can't find how to post this review on US Appliance website so assume that means they must only post the good ones which manipulates the statistics to make it appear they have a very high level of customer satisfaction. We were a first time US Appliance customer, decided to try them out due to good reviews and good price. Major problems with the item received. Packaging was horrid: box obviously opened and resealed, styrofoam packing material missing, cord not wound and bound as is typical of a new item. Lucky that it arrived undented and it appears to work. Believe this was a returned item that they sent back out to us. One of four rubber feet missing; we have been able to add one from old unit but we should not have had to do that. Our advice... treat new customers with more respect or you will lose them as you have us. Won't be shopping with US Appliance again.

We spent over $12000 on appliances from US Appliance. We havent uncrated everything yet, since our contractor isnt ready for them, but So far, I believe one appliance arrived without multiple dents. Since we werent there to accept the delivery, we didnt file a complaint within 24 hrs. We now are building a new home with a houseful of damaged appliances. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Spend the extra few dollars and order from a company that stands behind their merchandise!

I do not recommend, buy local.

Took almost 4 weeks to arrive with no tracking info or time of arrival. I was told It comes with conversion kit, it didn't. I had to order it and wait another week. The rebate they offered didn't work. They didn't offer any help with the rebate, knowing they should not have offered it cause it wasn't going to work.

Beware of their policy! You have to find problems with appliances within 24 hours or they won’t back up the problem. Even though the prices are a little lower I will deal with local places like Costco or Home Depot. Also if you order a package deal you don’t get all appliances together. I am without a range for a month. Never will I sop with US Appliances again.

Horrible - they left my washer and dryer on my front porch and when I contacted their incredibly rude customer service and they could have not cared less. Terrible terrible company.

they left my washer and dryer on my front porch long before the window they gave me for delivery AND they were supposed to call me 40 minutes before they arrived - did not do. They left it attached to the pallet. When I contacted their incredibly rude customer service and they could have not cared less. Not their problem or fault - she says you can contact the delivery company (the one that THEY hired!!!!) . Terrible terrible company.

Delivery damage to home after rebuilding from Katrina.

The "white glove' delivery service, a local van line, rolled a dual oven 6 burner stainless steel GE oven over a newly installed hardwood floor using a furniture dolly. Left wheel indentions in the flooring which is still there today. US appliance denied the claim and refused contact after that incident.

I purchased a Whirlpool appliance suite, pricing was good buy delivery went from Michigan to Chicago to NJ to Cleveland. Delivery is free but do no count on getting your product in less than 2 weeks. Their website warranty page boast a 60 day warranty but the company will replace damaged items only if reported within 24 hours. Delivery company did only curbside delivery. Delivered in a blizzard at 3:30pm I call company early Friday afternoon to report that the microwave was damaged in the poor packaging. (Whirlpool issue) The housing on the unit was mangled, though the packaging looked ok. No idea if the product would work. US Appliance said less than 48 hours was outside their warranty period and I would be required call Whirlpool for a warranty repair.. Whirlpool would not replace it but only repair it. I now own a new microwave that will never look new. Regardless of pricing I would advise any consumer to bypass this vendor and use a more reputable vendor Home Depot, Lowes. Best Buy etc.

First, I have been a loyal customer for years - until now. Obviously something has changed. I bought a dishwasher ($900) that looked fine when delivered but they stacked something on it or dropped it causing the tub to be out of shape allowing water to leak. After running through hoops (pictures, repair man, etc) they said it was clearly damaged and shouldn't have been installed and it is my problem. Don't buy from this company.

Beware. On 10/31/15 I placed an order for headphones. After a couple of days I checked the status of the order and the website showed that the order had been "rejected". I called and was sent to voice mail where i left a message. I received no return call so I bought headphones elsewhere. Then on 11/6 a charge from US Appliance showed on my bank statement. I called US Appliance and after being transferred back and forth was told that the item had been shipped incorrectly and that they would have to wait until the item came back to maybe give me a credit. Today is 11/13 no headphones no refund. Buyer beware, a lot of mistakes by this company and no attempt to correct the mistakes or provide any type of customer service
